A science related topic I found interesting at Auschwitz was the fact that doctors would perform tests on the human prisoners. They were really interested in twins because of the fact that Germany thought they would be able to figure out how to increase the German population. These tests were really painful and horrible for these people. They also used them to test certain drugs. As well as the first use of a gas chamber was experimented in the basement of the prison inside Auschwitz 1.

  1. I totally agree. When he was talking about the kids and how they would be sent to pharmical places to be tested broke my heart.

  2. I did not know they performed tests on prisoners. Another thing that disturbed me was the gynecologists conducting tests on the captured women often leading to their death.

  5. I found this very insightful. I thought the gas chamber crematorium was really disturbing but interesting to know that they recreated them.

  6. Comment from Heidi : I knew that they tested prisoners before but I did not know that they were trying to find ways sterilize the men and women too. I found this shocking.

  7. The use of the prisoners was simply inhuman and horrible, from the readings of E=MC^2 we also learned that some prisoners of other consentration camps were used to collect the uranium used in the early German research of the Atom bomb.
